Day 18 OctPoWriMo 2015
Slithered in the backyard
Under the stars
It ruled the garden
Bringing in creeps
Every time lighting struck
Heart pounded at a galloping speed
At the first stroke of sunlight
Beaming fresh on the flowers
With trembling feet
Moved myself to open the backdoor
There still lay the long creature
Only it was not so terrifying
There lay a harmless rope instead.

ReplyDeleteOh, you have no idea how this made my heart pound. I am terrified of snakes. And I have been fooled by garden hoses, ropes, and many other items that have no right whatsoever of pretending to be other than they are. LOL.
Well done.
Yes Jesi .. you are absolutely right few things do not have a right to pretend otherwise.
