Chained

Excruciating pain runs
Down the spine
Screeching in agony
Saline covers the face
Prickly needles burn inside
Scratchy wounds exudes fluid
Numbing tongue oozes venom

Haunting screams reverberates
In the empty halls
Yearning to flutter away
Aches in hollow frame
Waiting and waiting and waiting
To be liberated from the chains.
