"Hudhud Cyclone" Picture taken from net |
On the day before that tearful Tuesday
Their world was full of merry moments
Who knew their present smile
Will vanish like a dust filled pile
Happy songs flowing around
Vandalized by raging storm
Dog house made with such care
Smashed, now nothing to spare
Baby sparrow just learnt to fly
Nothing remained to comply
The day has gone leaving behind
Muddy land and hollow hand
Who knew the extra stuffed food
Will be scarce and make stomach rude
Yesterday’s lullabies evaporated
Sorrowful songs exasperated
Once sparkling shinny house
Looks haunted full of mouse
Sun rises again with all its glory
Life goes on and has nothing to carry.

#OctPoWriMo 2014 Day 30 Prompt "On the day before" Recently India witnessed the 'Hudhud Cyclone'
What beautiful sad words. How terrible it would be to go through such a thing.
ReplyDeleteLast year there was terrible flooding in the area where I live. I have never been so terrified. I wouldn't wish that fear on anybody.
