Daily Diaries 2

With determination and high hopes I opened my precious dried Pea Pod in the month of October. It was time to plant the seed inside the womb of the Almighty Mother Earth. With utter care and patience it was my turn to wait for the seeds to sprout. Like an enthusiastic (lunatic) curiosity I watched keenly at the spot. Loving and caressing the dirt below my palm in the pot.

On the other side my ‘Pati Parmeshwar’ was also hopeful to become a father again of the most beautiful and adorable Pea Pods in the universe to take birth right in our mini garden. He started looking forward for the day our loving plant decides to deliver the lustrous perfect pods. He even decided to name the pods – Pitta, patta, patter…. Blah blah blah…

It was January now and our eyes glistened with love and tears when we first spotted the tiny miniscule buds on the plants. What a bliss it was. But God has some other plans stored for us. He took away our happiness by sending extreme harsh winter. To our horror all our pea plants succumb to the intense cold wave ‘aur allah ko pyaare ho gaye’..

My world came crashing down and then I saw one plant shining and smiling at me with a lovely beautiful yellow flower by the end of february. Ahaa!! so God loves me a lot I know. That is why my ‘Mehnat rang(flower) laai.. aur meri goad mein ek nanhe munne ‘pea’ ki kilkari dikhai di….

Soon that flower blossomed into a perfect Pea Pod. It was time for my ‘Pati Parmeshwar’ to inspect with his sombre look.

Satisfied! He smiled and said with love ‘Janeman.. aaj to matar pulav bana hi do…!!

Daily Diary 5

One fine winter morning in March sitting in the garden sipping hot ginger tea, suddenly, I noticed a pigeon looking at me with keen eyes sitting on the cable wire.

I asked it what was he thinking looking like that? He said “Oh’ man, I just do not understand what has happened to all the humans. They are behaving so strangely. I can’t see them on their regular morning walks, rushing in their cars towards their office neither do I see them roaming on the roads aimlessly though looking as if they have most important errands to do so. It seems they have reconciled in their cocoons fearing of something. “

“Well, Dear Pigeon you are absolutely right we all are afraid of this deadly virus hovering over our heads ready to pounce on us any moment. Making us sick and sometimes even send us back to the realms no one knows off.”

“Hunh! So what is there to be afraid off? Everyone goes back. Why do they need to sit in home? They are not compassionate or considerate about our wellbeing.  They don’t even understand how much problem we are facing these days due to their home bound restrictions.”

“Why? What is wrong? We are trying our best to provide food for you all. What is that is troubling you?” I asked

“Don’t you know we have lost all the meaning to stay happy and it is difficult for us as there are no heads where we could aim at. ”

Daily Diary 6

….Part 2 #CoronaKaRona #KahaniDurbar #DailyDiary 6

One fine spring afternoon, while I was enjoying the greens and smiling flowers, in my garden, I was mesmerized with the buzzing sound of bees and butterflies. One butterfly rested on my hair and the bee buzzed on my flowery dress.

(Bhanwara bada nadaan hai……)

Interrupting me - A dog came crying and knocked on my gate. I was in a dilemma, to welcome it inside or not. This Lock-down and Isolation situation has blocked my brain and the capability to be social or not (to be or not to be- That is the question). After all this is the time of Social-Distancing.

Since a kind hearted person I could not see the tears of the poor dog. So I called him inside and gave him milk and bread. But he refused to eat(no value for my feelings…sob…sob!). He said what will he do by eating? (Hainnnn… Matlab????)

“Why my dear? What is making you so sad? We all must eat to stay fit and alive. Isn’t it?”

“Bohoooo!” He howled again. His eyes started watering and then suddenly a wave of tears crashed on my feet (charansparsh  nahin kar raha tha balki apne aansoon ki ganga jamna me nehla raha tha). Now he was crying inconsolably.

“Oh, Dear! Come and share your pain” I hugged him.

“Tell me what is wrong with you humans these days? Why are you not rushing everywhere, every time? Why are you suddenly behaving as if you all are dead? Why can’t you see US happy? “ He stuttered all at one go.

“Wait a second. What did you say? Why can’t we see you happy? Of course we all love you. Aren’t we all feed you?” I was surprised at his rant.

‘Tadap..Tadap ke iss dil se .. aah nikalti rahi..’

“Yes you all feed us. But what is the point of having food and no fun at all. We are not able to digest our food as there are no Cars on the road to chase. The roads are deserted. At whom should we bark at? There are so many cars everywhere to pee -that was fun, but now even that is NO fun - nobody comes to scare or beat us. Bohoooooooo!”

‘Dil ka haal kahe ye (Bhounkanewaala) koi na iska dard samajnewaala’

Daily Diary 4

Amidst the so called holiday (self Quarantined) mode I woke up to a beautiful morning. Trees danced with gentle zephyr, swirling yellowed leaves tiptoed whistling and smiling on the earth.

Sweet chirpings enveloped the arena happily smiling and singing fluttered from one flower to the other. Pregnant clouds hovered above dulling the sun sending soothing sensations.

I perched myself on my garden swing with a soothing mug of hot coffee and found a sense of overwhelming happiness. Hubby and daughter joined me with their mugs. My eyes met them and we all smiled.

A genuine, happy, carefree smile.
What is more my heart can ask for?

Life is so very simple
Some free time and a smile
Simple things make life worthwhile
Fragrant clean air with
Rain washed happy greens
Birds in their nest
Chirping and tweeting
A content heart
Enjoy it from the start!

Daily Diary 3

One fine spring afternoon, from my dining room, I was feasting my eyes on the various colours and fragrance of the flowery beauties right across my window. I was overwhelmed with Almighty’s grace on us for providing with so many feasts for our soul.

Suddenly, I noticed from the keyhole of the main door their came striding a buzzing yellow bee. It felt as if she was happy to complete her quest to enter my home. She happily buzzed all around.

Lusciously she sucked the nectar from the blue orchids adorning my dining table. When she was full she happily checked all the furniture and walls. She felt at peace inside. But then she gazed out from the window and started banging on the glass pane to reach the other side. Her keyhole entry was lost in the quest to inspect things there. Now, she was jittery as she knew she has to be out in the garden as that is the place where she belongs. The 10 day old orchid inside was simply an illusion which lured and captivated her for some time, but her soul could only be happy outside.

I was compelled to do something for her and so I set her free by opening the door and letting her smell and feel the fresh air full of fragrance of flowers all around.

What if her coming inside was a message for me in some way? What if she wanted to tell me that I have entered in this world through the keyhole and now lost in the world hovering over fake or stale flowers/happiness when the ‘Real’ happiness lies just outside the window. The world is small and petty as compared to the outside which is vast and never ending. It is full of fresh flowers waiting for me to suck their nectar. I am trapped inside. When will my gates open? And by whom ?
Hello! Anyone listening ? I need to open my wings and scale the heights of this vast nebula of nothingness.
